My IDEAcon 2020 Sessions and Conference Resources

The newly rebranded IDEAcon Education Conference is February 24th through the 27th. You can learn more about the awesome presenters and sessions by visiting the IDEAcon SCHED. 

I am writing this post to share some of my resources and ideas for everyone attending or who won't have a chance to attend the conference. You can still learn quite a bit by following the hashtag and checking out the presenter resources. (I will add the Symbaloo of Session Resources to this post as soon as it goes live.)

Google Secrets For Teachers and Learners

I am lucky enough to be facilitating a Google for Education Session at IDEAcon this year.  Here is the session description. 

"Google and innovation go hand in hand. We all know that Google Drive, Google Classroom, and Chromebooks have become core resources for many schools. Classrooms are also engaging students with a host of awesome resources connected to Google. Join us as we explore some of Google’s hidden gems and learn that It’s not the tool, it’s how you use it to engage all students."

Black History Month: The Journey of Us - A Google Earth Voyage

I recently discovered the Google Earth Voyage "Black History Month: The Journey of Us". This incredible resource includes over 60 stories to explore that are all tagged by location on Google Earth. The stories are divided into 6 different categories, including; "Journey of Advocacy", "Journey of Business", "Journey of Dance", "Journey of Education" "Journey of Film & TV", and "Journey of Tech". This is definitely a resource worth exploring in February or any time during the year.
