2023 Educational Learning Opportunities - The More You Share The More You Learn

I believe that 2023 is the year to fall in love with being a learner again! I've always believed that I am a learner, but I may have forgotten how much I love exploring and learning over the past few years.

I will continue to blog, present at conferences, and share via social media in 2023, but today I wanted to share something new I am going to explore. The goal is to share my learning with my friends and colleagues.

Educational Conferences to Reboot Teaching and Learning in 2023

Last week I rebooted my post, "Educational Conferences - Know Before You Go". Today I wanted to narrow the focus to some of the most interesting conferences I've started to explore for 2023. This is by no means a complete list, but I've included the ones I've seen on social media that seem to be creating some buzz with presenters and attendees.

Today, I wanted to share some conferences that might be worth exploring and attending. Most have both in-person and virtual options.

Educational Conferences - Know Before You Go

I believe the most powerful tool in any teacher's toolbox is collaboration. This collaboration can take many paths, but an essential one is making connections with other educators.

I am writing this post to encourage educators to find the time to attend an in-person conference in 2023. I think it is time for educators to find the time to engage in learning experiences outside of their schools and districts. These experiences can be virtual or in person. Some are free and some have registration fees.

Today, I wanted to explore some ideas to help educators make the most of any in-person conference experience. In particular, I want to share 7 tips for educators to make the most out of any in-person conference experience.

On a related note, next week I will share some of the conferences that are generating some buzz for the first half of 2023. Stay tuned ; )

Reflect on 2022 - Make a Family, Classroom, or Student Newsletter With Google Applied Digital Skills

If you've been following me during the months of December and January for the last several years, you know that I love to take a short break from my content to get students re-engaged in learning after our December holiday break.

Here are a few samples from this year.
Today I wanted to share what I think is another great resource. The Google Applied Digital Skills Curriculum has a great lesson to help students reflect and share as we say goodbye to 2022. While this lesson is focused on creating a family newsletter, it could easily be adapted for students to create a classroom or personal reflection for 2022.
