It's an amazing time to be a teacher and a lifelong learner. We are spoiled by choice when it comes to places and resources to grow as a teacher and learner. Today I wanted to share 5 free professional development resources for all educators. These organizations have influenced my growth as an educator in many many many ways. 

Edutopia - The mission is to transform K-12 education by sharing stories, resources, and best practices.

Edutopia has an incredible collection of articles and videos for almost any education topic you might choose to explore. I also highly recommend signing up for Edutopia Weekly, to get a customized selection of resources once a week. Also, be sure to check out Topics A - Z to find something new to explore. 

IDEA - The mission is to inspire, connect, and provide the educational community with opportunities that transform teaching and learning through technology.

IDEA hosts one of the best midwestern conferences every year, IDEAcon. The IDEA staff also hosts some incredible webinars and PD events. Membership is free and the weekly newsletter is full of useful tips and resources. 

TCEA - The mission is to help educators advance teaching and learning through the use of technology.

TCEA hosts an incredible conference with an amazing lineup of speakers every year. TCEA also offers an incredible collection of learning experiences. The TCEA blog is a must-read! 

TeachBetter - The mission is pretty simple, make teaching and learning better. The TeachBetter Team imagines a world where every educator is connected, supported, and inspired to be BETTER every day; so that all learners can discover and develop their passions to positively impact our communities.

The TeachBetter conference is right up there with IDEAcon in my world of awesome! The Live Discussions facilitated by the team always bring some inspiration along with some new ideas and resources. You can always count on the TeachBetter Blog and Podcast Network to inspire and inform. They also offer an incredible Academy of online courses. I also highly recommend the TeachBetter Facebook group

Teacher2Teacher - Born from the belief that no one knows teaching like teachers, Teacher2Teacher is a growing community where you can connect to share resources, learn from one another, and solve the big problems that no one can solve alone.

The Teacher 2 Teacher Twitter feed is a must-follow. They model collaboration and share some thought-provoking questions daily. They also bring some incredible educators to their blog. The website brings some awesome moments with resources like the Digital Care Package and #DearTeachers
