12 Days of Google Tips: Day 9 - Searching Chrome Tabs

Tis the season of giving and I've been inspired by my PLN and a certain holiday song to share some Google Workspace Tips that I've either discovered or rediscovered in 2021. To be precise, the plan is two share 12 Google tips in addition to any other posts I am inspired to complete during the month of December.
I will link other 12 Days of Google posts at the end of each post for your reference.

Today I wanted to share my ninth tip that is connected to searching your tabs in Chrome.

If you are like me you end up with more open tabs than you know what to do with in the first hour after starting up your computer.

I often end up with the same site open more than once because I can't find it scrolling through the tab, but never fear there is a solution. Chrome has a built in tab search feature

  • Clicking Ctrl+Shift+A or on the small down arrow in the menu bar will open up the tab search.

  • When the Tab search is open, start to type the name of the tab you need and it should appear.  Just click on the name and you will be taken to that tab.

Bonus
Did you know that you can also group tabs together to stay organized? With a few simple clicks you can group tabs together and label them with a name and color.
