Today I wanted to share my 11th tip connected to a feature in Google Calendar that has helped me quite a bit to wrap up 2021. Did you know you can set a "Focus time" in Google Calendar?
The "Focus time" feature is built into Google Calendar when a user creates an event. Right now, I believe it is only available in the upgraded Google workspace editions, so I apologize if you can't see this, but you could still use the idea in any version of Google Calendar and just label the event as focus time. You might also want to explore "Google Tasks" if you can't access the focus option.
If you've never seen this before here is a quick step by step tutorial to get you started.
- Open Google Calendar.
- Click on Create.
- Choose "Focus time" and set any other details such as reminders or if you want the time to be set as public or private.
- You can also set it up as a "recurring time" event to set reminders for specific days and times.
Did you know that you can also use the Google Calendar App to create goals?
